Andrew Ellwood
Andrew Ellwood has been a Borough Councillor in Phoenix Ward since 2007. In 2010 he campaigned against the County Council when they closed Gedling Household Waste & Re-cycling Centre. He supported the parent & local resident led campaign to keep Gedling School open. More recently he has raised with the County Council concerns from local residents about possible plans to switch off street lighting in residential areas.
Anne Wright
Anne Wright is well known in the Gedling area, having been a secondary schoolteacher at a local school for over 20 years.She was a Borough Councillor for Gedling Ward between 1989/1991 & 1995/2011. In that time she has taken up many County Council issues such as dealing with problems on roads, pavements and public footpaths.When a councillor she helped with the stablishment of the Miners' Mem orial in Gedling Village

Carlton West Candidates
Paul Hughes
Paul Hughes has been a Borough Councillor in Valley Ward since2007. Prior to that he was a Councillor in Conway Ward. On the Borough Council he has pushed for renewable energy to be used at Council buildings.He is currently Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on the Borough Council. In recent months he has pressed the Borough Council to start a Community Speed Watch Scheme in our area.
Jason Stansfield
Jason Stansfield has been a Focus Editor in St James Ward since 2011, where he stood as a Borough Council candidate. Jason is active in the Neighbourhood Watch organisation in Gedling Borough. In 2011 he volunteered to help with the "Phoenix Big Clean Up" helping to clear rubbish in the Wollaton Avenue shopping area.
