Statement on Breach of Campaign Moratorium

27 May 2017

On behalf of the whole of the Gedling Lib Dem Team, I would like to apologise for any offence caused by our official Election Communication that may have been received today. It was delivered by Royal Mail and was scheduled several days ago, before the terrorist attack in Manchester.

We had no control over when leaflets were being delivered, only that they would be distributed over seven working days.

It appears that Royal Mail have very promptly delivered a large batch of leaflets within the constituency today which was not expected.

You have our assurance that this was not planned or anticipated and we regret any distress this may have caused.

Jason Stansfield
Electoral Agent for Robert Swift
