Tad Jones (left) and Andrew Swift (right) are our County Council candidates for Arnold North.

Tad Jones was born in Nottingham and lives in Redhill. He went to school at Christ the King before going to Liverpool to study pharmacology, St Andrews for a PhD, and then back to Nottingham Trent for a MA in international relations.

Tad currently works in the healthcare research and was the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Nottingham East in 2015.

"As a liberal I want everyone
to live their lives with as much freedom as possible. Good education and training opportunities are hugely important in helping people make the most of their talents, and empowering them to live fulfilling lives. The County Council can do better to make sure people have the right skills for the modern economy."

Andrew Swift is the Vice-Chairman of Gedling Liberal Democrats and has lived in Arnold for over 40 years. He taught Modern Languages at Carlton-le-Willows school and helped to set up an exchange scheme with a school in Gedling's twin town of Rotenburg-an-der-Fulda. He now runs his own translation business from home.
