Julia Bateman - Gedling PPC
I am proud to represent the Liberal Democrats in Gedling for the General Election. I have been actively building on the hard work of the team of committed local Councillors and activists, listening to the concerns of Gedling residents. I have taken action on issues such as fighting to save the Gedling Tip and pushing for answers on poor levels of policing and protection. As MP for Gedling I will fight for:
Fair taxes that put money back into your pocket
A fair future, creating jobs by making Britain greener
A fair deal by cleaning up politics
I am keen to improve the representation of women in Parliament and aim to involve more young people in this election.

I grew up in the Lake District where I attended my local school for both GCSEs and A-Level. I studied at University College London and became a Barrister in 2000. I now work for the Law Society of England and Wales in their Brussels Office and am based with my partner Bill in Kettering. I am of course committed to moving to Gedling full time as soon as I am elected.
